Underwater Diving Inspections

Our services are Class approved (by various classification societies, such as Lloyd’s Register, DNV GL, Bureau Veritas, and American Bureau of Shipping) for IWS on all vessel types. IWS are inspections of the underwater parts of a ship, such as the hull, propeller, rudder, and sea chests, that are done while the ship is still in the water.

By using drone technology, we can eliminate the risk of having a diver in the water, which can be dangerous in certain environments. All dives are carried out using Microsoft teams a communication and collaboration platform that allows us to share live video feeds and data from the drones with the ship owners and the Class Surveyor, who can monitor and supervise the inspection from anywhere in the world, so they can be onsite virtually.

This type of dive both eliminates risks to lives but also ensures there is an absolute minimum cost implication to the owner, as it reduces the need for expensive equipment and removes the cost of dry-docking.
